81 Compound is the “Low Mu” REAR ENDURANCE COMPOUND in the PFC lineup:
This pad has low mu in the 0.2 to 0.3 range with low initial bite and a very flat friction curve. Works hand-in-hand with ABS systems, providing a stable, controllable rear end, and minimizing lockups.
Its low initial bite allows this pad to not only be the perfect low-wear endurance option but also can be used in medium-distance applications.
Like its front counterpart (82) the 81 compound has an extremely low wear rate while being gentle on discs.
